Meet your Host
Your host, Daniel, brings a unique blend of culture, creativity, and care to your stay in Zonca. Born in Britain and holding Dutch citizenship, he speaks several European languages—including some Italian—and has been part of this village community since 2014.
With a background in Gold- and Silversmithing and a BA in Fine Arts, Daniel is both an artist and a published author with a deep interest in consciousness and human rights. Beyond his academic and creative pursuits, he has trained as a shamanic healer and lectures on a wide range of subjects, always seeking to connect with people on a deeper level.
At Casa in Mezzo, Daniel offers more than the comfort of a traditional bed and breakfast. Guests who wish to explore healing and personal growth can access a wide variety of practices, including yoga, reiki, one-on-one counseling, sauna and ice baths, and guidance with sacred plant teachers. His holistic approach ensures that each visitor finds what they need—whether rest, renewal, or inspiration.
In Daniel’s own words:
“I am dedicating my life to renovating the four houses we own in Zonca and creating gardens for a sustainable future. I am happy to share my life experience and skills, as well as to learn from others. I believe in the power of connection and community, as well as the benefits of quietude and immersion in nature.”
Where many accommodations focus on luxury, Daniel offers something different: simplicity, authenticity, and connection. At Casa in Mezzo, you’ll find a home in nature, where the elements can be felt, the earth can be touched, and life can be experienced with presence.
